Motorway Services Scoops Awards at 'Loo of the Year' Ceremony
Killington Lake services, a motorway service station located on the M6 Southbound between Junctions 37 and 36, has been recognised for its exceptional toilet facilities at the recent Loo of the Year Awards. The prestigious awards program, established in 1991, celebrates excellence in public toilet provision across the UK.
This year, Killington Lake services was awarded the top prize in the "Public Toilet Entries" category. This category recognises public toilet facilities that are accessible, clean, and well-maintained, providing a positive experience for all users.
The Loo of the Year Awards are judged by a panel of independent experts who assess restrooms based on a variety of criteria, including cleanliness, accessibility, and overall design. Specifically, there are 12 designated HGV parking spaces at Killington Lake services. HGV drivers can park their truck for up to 24 hours for £27, or they can pay £30 to park and receive a £10 food voucher to redeem at the on-site food court, which includes McDonalds, Costa and WHSmith.
