What’s Changed?
From April 2025, standard 5 seat Double Cab pickups are generally treated as passenger cars for Benefit in Kind (BIK) and capital allowance purposes, following changes announced in the October 2024 Budget.
This can have a significant impact on businesses and company vehicle drivers.
But not everything has changed
For VAT-registered businesses, VAT can still be reclaimed on all D-Max pickups, subject to the usual VAT rules and how the vehicle is used.
The changes to BIK and capital allowances do not automatically mean the VAT treatment has changed in the same way.
All of the D-Max & Isuzu Grafter Range still have their own VED treatment. For the 2026/27 tax year, the standard annual road fund rate for light goods vehicles is £345.
So, keep buying the D-Max & Find the Right Solution.
