Isuzu Grafter Wins 'Best Builders' Truck' Award
Isuzu Grafter wins ‘Best Builders’ Truck’ award for the 9th year in a row which was awarded by Trade Van Driver magazine.
The awards, which run annually, are voted for by an expert panel of journalists as well as readers who regularly use light commercial vehicles for their day-to-day business needs.
The Isuzu Grafter N35 is a 3.5 tonne truck that is designed for light duty applications with a small footprint but plenty of power.
Available as either a single or twin rear wheel option, the Isuzu Grafter can be customised to your own application specification, with a chassis cab, dropside or tipper variant available.
The double wishbone parallel leaf suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers combined with the rear semi-elliptical steel suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers make the drive comfortable for both the driver and their occupants, with as little movement as possible.
The interior of the cab has a flame-resistant interior trim with vinyl floor matting for additional comfort.
Getting into the cab is easy, with two grab handles on both sides making it less strenuous to the occupants.
The occupants should have no issues being transported in the cab all day, with a full adjustable suspension driver seat with head restraint. The driver and outer passenger retractable diagonal seat belts with pre tensioner for added peace of mind.
The vision of the Isuzu Grafter is increased, with deep cut side windows to reduce blind spots, making navigating in tight spaces a breeze. The large foldable mirrors allow the driver to navigate into narrow streets, especially in residential areas, without the fear of causing damage.
How the Isuzu Grafter benefits builders
Increased torque – this helps the engine work better for you, with improved power to 320Nm torque at 1600-2000rpm.
Reduced weight – the new Grafter Green is much lighter than its predecessor, with the short wheel-base 152kg lighter and the long wheel-base 150kg lighter. This makes the truck much more efficient as there is less weight to carry.
No AdBlue – the new technology means that there is no need for AdBlue, making the Grafter Green much more efficient and cheaper to run overall. For those looking to reduce their emissions, the brand new engine technology will do just this.
Low emission zone compliant – the improvements in technology mean that the Isuzu Grafter Green can operate in London’s low emission zones, which reduces the daily charges associated with driving in these areas for the fleet manager.
Reduced noise levels – the updated rear engine cover not only reduces noise, but also protects the internal components. There is a noticeable reduction in the driving noise levels which is more beneficial when working in residential or built up areas.
