Funding for Greater Manchester Clean Air Zone now available
Funding opened on the 30th November for the owners of HGVs registered in the Greater Manchester area to prepare for the Clean Air Zone that will come into effect in the next few months.
The Clean Air Zone, which comes into effect from May 2022, introducing a category C charging Clean Air Zone that will cover 10 Greater Manchester local authorities.

Manchester is the latest city to join the Clean Air Zone, along with existing Clean Air Zones in Bath, Birmingham and Portsmouth.
Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras and Clean Air Zone signage are being rolled out across the city region and neighbouring local authority areas.
