All New Isuzu D-Max Wins Best Value Pickup Award
The Isuzu D-Max has been awarded the ‘Best Value Pickup of the Year’ by 4x4 magazine, just a year after scooping Pickup of the Year back in 2021.
Allan Kidd, Editor at 4x4 Magazine, explained “Isuzu has come to market with a range of models which undercut their direct rivals – so for less money, you get one of the newest and best trucks on the market, with famous reliability, rock-solid residuals and a monster of a warranty. No wonder people are putting their faith in the Isuzu D-Max.”
D-Max Safety Features
The Isuzu D-Max is packed with safety features including:
E-Call
In the unfortunate event of the airbags being deployed, the E-Call system will automatically call the emergency services, so when a serious accident occurs, you won’t be stranded.
You can also push the SOS button which will connect you to the emergency services if you find yourself in a situation that is a threat to life.
Euro NCAP
The Isuzu D-Max has been awarded a 5 Star Euro NCAP, even with the new stringent requirements.
Alterations made to the airbags, brakes and chassis have contributed to the 5-star rating.
8 Airbags
The all-new Isuzu D-Max double cab options now features a total of 8 airbags which includes a new centre airbag for additional safety in the event of an accident. The single and extended cab option includes 7 airbags.
Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS)
The Isuzu D-Max comes with a range of advanced driver assist systems including Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Reduced Emissions
The Isuzu D-Max has several features that are designed to reduce emissions:
Stop & Start System
Designed to improve fuel economy, the stop & start system will switch off the engine when the car is idling, for example at a set of traffic lights, to preserve fuel. When idling with your engine running, fuel is constantly used up which can become expensive.
AdBlue
The all-new Isuzu D-Max is fitted with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) that reduces harmful Nitrogen Dioxide levels.
D-Max Comfort Features
Lumbar Support
The DL20 features 6-way manually adjustable driver seats and 8-way electrically adjustable driver seats on the DL40 and V-Cross.
Longer Wheelbase
The all-new Isuzu D-Max comes with a longer wheelbase leaving more room for the rear passengers. There’s 20mm more shoulder room, higher hip points and a 24-degree reclined seat.
Adjustable Steering Wheel
The driver can freely adjust the height and reach of the steering wheel to suit their own comfort. There’s also audio controls that are located on the side of the steering wheel for easy access.
Air Conditioning
For driver and passenger comfort, there’s dual zone climate control allowing the driver and front passenger to set different temperatures, which is standard with the DL40.
D-Max Convenience Features
Side Steps
The side steps have been redesigned to protect the paintwork down the side of the vehicle from stone chips as well as providing a non-slip surface so you can access the cab safely.
Parking Aids
There’s rear parking sensors that come as standard with the DL20 model and upward. The DL40 and V-Cross both have front and rear parking sensors as well as a reversing camera that is located in the tailgate handle. Having the camera elevated provides a much wider field of vision for the driver.
Storage Solutions
There’s a wide range of handy storage solutions including up to 10 cup holders, a bin area above the fuel release, a glovebox, sun visors and an overhead console featuring sunglasses holder.
